Mick & Sam’s Ice Cream is the first New Zealand-style ice cream company in Las Vegas. Our signature product is “real fruit ice cream,” a popular concept in New Zealand. This soft serve-like dessert blends real frozen fruit with premium ice cream (dairy or dairy-free) to create a creamy and naturally flavored treat.

Founded in 2024, Mick & Sam’s Ice Cream is Filipino and woman-owned.

Sam Picazo, Founder

Sam is the Brand Experience Manager for The Just One Project, Southern Nevada’s largest mobile food pantry. She earned her B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies from UNLV in 2019, but has worked in the nonprofit field for about 10 years now.

Her passion for food and connecting the community has been ingrained in her since childhood and continues to be the driving force in co-founding Mick & Sam’s Ice Cream.

Mick Skarda, Founder

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Mick has 18 years of experience in the culinary industry. From humble beginnings as a young prep cook for a gaming tavern to esteemed sous chef of Ada’s Food + Wine, he plays a pivotal role in menu creation, staff training, and seamless execution of every dish.

With an unwavering love for anything sweet, salty, and savory, his culinary journey continues to unfold as co-founder.
